That is some great info that I will look into directly. I understand that
the way to test the cold start solenoid is to take it off of the intake.,
try to crank it ,and see if any gas comes out, does this make sense? Also,
what sort of voltage show I be reading on both of these components? Does the
switch that you mentioned have a lead running from the cold start solenoid
to it? I will try and reterminate al of the connections that I see and go
from there.

The cold start solenoid is on the back of the intake plenum, near the
throttle body.  It's the only part with both an electrical and and fuel
connection in this area.  It's directly connected to the thermo-time
switch, which is one of the three electrical things attached to the
thermostat housing.  The switch is the one hidden under the radiator hose.
You need to test both.  If either is bad, the system won't work correctly.
The wiring between them can also be the problem, most likely the connectors.
