Electric Fan Kit?

I've got a 72 GTV with 3 blades removed from the fan. I'm interested in
getting rid of the other 3 by going to an electric fan. I started down this
path once before buying a kit from Alfa Ricombi but it weighed a ton and
mounted with nylon bolts through the radiator coil, so I sent it back. I'd
prefer something that mounted to the frame of the radiator if it exists, or at
least a lighter fan kit if it has to mount through the core. When I mentioned
what I was thinking to the guy that shopped my radiator I thought he was going
to crown me with it. What's been the general experience? I'm interested in
hearing endurance numbers.
