RE: windshield speckles

The little specks are likely pitting from the millions of little
particulate impacts.  Or, could be alien gamma rays.  Either way, no
amount of polishing will take them out.  If it really is dirt, I have
heard good results from using Ajax, Bon Ami and those sort of kitchen
cleaners.
