Spider performance mods and classification

   I think the point George was making about mods and classification is
that often people come to the digest looking for advice about modifying
their cars and should be provided with consistent answers or advice,
without overtaxing out list members
    If there were a web page we could refer people to, that outlined
different levels of preparation, depending on peoples goals it would
save people like Russ allot of time and leave us extra bandwidth to
discuss important philosophical issues likes like whether or not a 20 or
40 year old car or design can ever be competitive with today's cars,
whether or not anything wearing an alfa badge made after a certain year
can really be called an alfa...or if one of us simply has too much time
on his hands...
