Re[2]: Window cleansing
Could be but in my experience Rain-X doesn't usually cause a problem.
In general though the trick is to have nothing at all on the windows.
Usually the problem is oil residue from driving. Lots of oily crud
gets kicked up and ends up on the windshield. Have her wash the window
with a good detergent, not Windex or some other window cleaner. Buff
the glass real well using old newspaper (really, it polishes the glass
a bit). DO NOT use any wax, Glass Wax, or anything of the sort. Be
sure the wiper blades are in good shape, get new ones if you have any
doubt and don't expect them to last more than one season. If the glass
is truly clean and the wipers are in good shape then they should work
ok. If she tends to wash her car at the auto wash and gets a spray on
wax treatment then kiss the wipers performance good bye.
