Car Cover Quandries

I'm trying to order a car cover for my 1981 Spider Veloce.  AutoAnything has 
a reasonably priced Noah car cover for a 81 Spider, but it does not come 
with built in mirror pockets which I would really prefer.  However the 1983 
Spider Veloce cover they sell does.

Can anyone tell me the dimensions of a 1983 Spider? or why there would be 
any reason that I couldn't buy the '83 cover for my '81 spider?
