Garage Pits

Natural Gas is not heavier than air. The most dangerous vapour in garage 
with a pit is in fact gasoline, which is much heavier than air and can sink 
out of sight to the bottom of the pit. Carbon Dioxide is lethal in a pit 
because it displaces the air. Carbon Monoxide is a well known hazard. 
Propane is also heavier than air. Pits are very handy but we now know them 
to be very unsafe.
