More Arese

 Knowing Arese museum very well, I can affirm it's
always open except saturday and sunday. From Monday to
Friday you can arrive at the factory's gate asking to
enter to visit the Museum. They will ask you a
document (passport, identity card or similar) and you
will enter without problem. On saturday they are in
Arese museum only if you ask him phoning some weeks
before. On request, they can arrange for a guide.
Sunday is possible only for clubs and you need a
request.
No gift shop available. Until april many significative
cars are not present being in London. Are not
available, at the moment, some 1750, the Giulietta
Sprint, the 158...

No air conditioned and also the warming system is a
'60s warning system, I suggest you to visit it in May
or in September.

About the "business": notice Arese is actually
anything except the management center Alfa Romeo. As I
told before, Fiat auto sold the buildings and they are
moving from Arese. The ex-management center is
actually full of office about cars' services of Fiat
group, no more full of Alfa Romeo offices.

You can't visit the factory, you will walk only in
front of management center.

I suggest you to drive around the factory in this way:
going out the gate turn on the left and follow the
way. After an obliged turn on the right you will drive
in front of the "technical center" (on the left), a
particular palace, you will understand what I'm
telling about. At the end of this straight piece of
street there's a cross. You will turn on the left,
having the factory always on your left. In this corner
there's the park of the "experience and test": I saw
the 156 GTA and the new 156 line, as well as some
Lancia Thesis. Drive on, and you'll arrive near the
"centro stile". It's difficult to see from the street
because there's a large parking area (actually empty)
between the street and the gates of the factories.
Take a look near this building, I hope there will be
the same "surprises" I saw some weeks ago.

I think you will return after this trip with a
different point of view of the actual Alfa. It seems a
dismantling area (better: it's so) affirming Alfa
Romeo died some years ago.
