Re: Alfa club dues

Robert, The zero inflation period has for ARA been a period of 18 years (if
not more). I think it reasonable to increase dues, dut to increased costs
for postage, printing and whatever else has had price increases. Whether or
not the Alfa Digest is the appropriate forum to discuss this or not, I can't
answer. One thing I do know is that the business of ARA takes place once a
month in Millbrae. If any members of ARA is unhappy with the membership
dues, I urge them to show up to the meetings and participate. This also goes
for events. The Overheard Cams costs $19.50 per member per year to produce
and mail, with only $25 in dues it is hard keeping it running. It was not an
easy decision the board took, but it was taken because it was necessary. I
can assure every one that it is a co-incidence that ARA and AROC increase
dues at the same time.

Noone says that you have to belong to both ARA an AROC.

Best regards

Henrik Johansen
ARA Ex-President
