Milano Oil leak

       If it is leaking less than a quart of oil between oil changes, I would 
not mess with it.  Park it on cardboard or get a metal drip pan.
       My Milano leaves a real mess, but that is from the power steering rack.

       You said the oil leak was from the rear of the engine.  Where exactly? 
 You might try washing the engine and watch for where the oil comes from 
first.  A rear main requires major work, but could probably be done in the 
car.  On the other hand, the oil pressure senders have been known to leak and 
they are at the back of the engine at the top.
       If the engine comes out, you just as well have it overhauled.  Or at 
least freshen the rings and bearings, grind the valves and replace the valve 
guides.
