dropping a cylinder

re: V8 #337 rough idle
Nick, my first thought is a cracked exhaust valve. When open the exhaust
valves are visible through the spark plug holes, and can be rotated with a
screwdriver (remember to be gentle on the spark plug hole threads with the
shaft of the screwdriver). Usually the valve will lose a chunk, but sometimes
they hang in there for a while with just a crack. I would also check the
cap/rotor, wires and plugs, and after that the valve clearances if things
still aren't making sense. On a Spica car there would also be the bad injector
possibility....My money is on cylinder #3. Good luck, Nick
