co-driver needed for June 29th

This might be a little early, but I need a co-driver for this
rally....It is organized by Martin Swig and it is called the double
500. It has to do with buying a car for less than $500 and then driving
for 500 Kms (*it used to be 500 miles, but most cars did not make it
that far). At the end, there are tow trucks, so that the car can be
donated to charity.
So you could front the $250, or some labor to prep the car instead, and
you would need to free up your Saturday, June 29th. It could be really
fun to locate the right car. One idea could involve an Alfetta (we
could paint some stripes and put carabinieri insignia on it), or we
could always buy a Romanian car, a Dacia:

too bad it is over 500 already...it looks clean.
This rally takes place in the SF bay area. It is always a fun crowd. No
entry fee, just show up at the Denny's in Corte Madera at a very early
hour...

Other cars that could probably be bought in this range: X1/9, 914,
Gremlin, Bug, Rabbit, Volvo, old Merc, who knows....
