Milano rear brake pad adjustment

Howdy Bill,

Re your query, another solution for dealing with that outer adjuster locknut
is to buy a really cheap and nasty 17mm ring spanner, which will be made of
soft metal allowing you to easily grind down the wall-thickness. Just grind
it to be thin enough to fit into the recess containing the 17mm locknut.
With this spanner in place, you have plenty of easy access to use the Allen
key on the central part of the adjuster. This ground-down spanner is also a
good solution if the exhaust pipe runs rather close to one of your outer
adjusters (as it does on my Alfetta, for example). Naturally, use the
cheapest and nastiest spanner you can find, to avoid wrecking a decent tool
in this way!

Best regards,
Graham, N.Z.
