Arnold,

Check the micro switch adjustments for the brake and the clutch 
pedal. These are mounted to contact the supports for the pedals, 
just above your feet as you normally sit in the driving position. 
If these get out of spec, the cruise control thinks that you have 
stepped on the clutch and/or brake. Check your service manual for 
clearances.
