Rain & Spider seat is soaking wet?

Hello Russ,
I rained cats & dogs in Sunnyvale, CA for the last few days. My bucket seats were filled with water, you could even take a glass and scoupe the water to drink.
I unbolted the ends of the seals on both side, pull them out and let them hang freely. I closed both doors and make sure they're still hanging and not bend inside the vent by mistake. VOILA, the water is channeled and dripping through these hanging ends. I drove today in heavy rain, and not a drop went inside the car. AMAZING!!!!
This is a great ECO for alfa spider top installation.
BTW, are all spiders tops made the same way? It's been produced for "thousands of years" and no one has the leaking problems like mine? If they did, why this ECO was never implemented at the factory?
Thanks a lot RUSS, I don't know what I would have done without you and this "information center"...:o)
BTW, one more leaking issue, I swored that sometimes when I turned corner fast in the rain, I had a few drops of water coming from the rear view mirror. It didn't come back? Can this happen?
Does anyone get steam or water inside the plastic window? Mine has some, I looked at the seams, and they look fine, no tears or crack (it's a fairly new top).

Cheers and thanks again,
91 Spider Veloce, still enjoyable in the sun & now "in the rain" !!!!
