Thanks to those who replied to my plea for help on this.
For posterity's sake, I determined that the key things to do were:
1)pop the rivets, unscrew the divider and push the divider into the car about
1/4 inch.
2)loosen the bolt keeping the triangular window in place
3)gently smacking the divider towards the rear of the car, freeing up about 1
inch of lateral room
4)popping the black aluminum strip on the outside so that the weatherstripping
allows the new window+bracket to clear.
