lumpy idling Milano Verde - UPDATE

hi all,

As you may recall I have been having problems with the idle on my Verde. This past weekend everything was checked according to the Cardisc manual and a bosch specific manual.

-Idle was correctly set at 950rpm as per a meter(tach is pessimistic)
-fuel pressure regulator pressure tested fine
-throttle position sensor tested fine
-thermo switch fine
-O2 sesonsor fine
-Temp sensor fine.
-Cold start sensor/switch/injector fine
-no leaks in hoses
-new oil filler cap(old one was a bit loose and cracked) - no change
-timing already correctly set
-throttle plate/butterfly is fine and correctly adjusted
-plugs, wires, cap, rotor are new.
-air fuel meter is fine
-Did not get to check the auxilliary air valve though.

Two observations:
1. At 950 rpm if you just moved the throttle a hair, enough to trigger the throttle position sensor, the idle would be smooth.
2. The idle could be made to out and remain steady if we lowered! the idle through the idle air mixture on the plenum. Car will idle smooth at 600rpm but is nearly stalling, especially when coming to a stop.

Soooo the question is how do I check the aux air valve and is there something else that I havent checked??

Thanks in advance,
Antonio
