164LS/Q CD Changer

I looked it up last night: Error 5 is a Mechanical failure of the CD loading mechanism. The Alfa audio system booklet I received with my car says to remove the cassette, and re-insert. (duh! ...at least it's not the usual electrical gremlins)

If there is no obvious mechanical damage, professional repair or replacement may be necessary.

 I had the same problem with my CD changer -- error code 5 (whatever that
 meant). I tried everything including cleaning all connections with contact
 cleaner and partially taking apart the changer to blow out with compressed
 air.
