Two places to look immediately. First check the fuel pump fuse. It is in an
inline housing under the package shelf behind the passengers seat. Mine
shorted out and melted the housing, or vice versa. Replaced housing and fuse
and everything is fine. Now carry spare 7.5 amp fuse for same.
Second, check battery. Like many European computers, (including the one in my
Volvo) the car WILL NOT RUN under any circumstances if the battery is
producing less than 12 volts. You can not jump it or push it off. The
computer REQUIRES 12 v from the battery. (Pain in the ass). Been stranded in
both Alfa and Volvo because a cell in the battery shorted out prematurely.
