Re:GTV6 transaxle bolts

On the rear of my 81 GTV6 I was able to get the transaxle bolts off with a
socket wrench using a cheater bar attached. Some liquid wrench helped. If
you are using decent quality tools, the sockets or box end wrenches should
work. Try using a cheater bar or banging on the wrench in place with a
good mallet. You can try heating them with a torch but you need to be very
careful. On mine, they were seized/rusted to the rotor and not to the
threads on the output flanges of the transaxle.
The good news is if you have to cut/break the heads off, the threaded stud
will probably come out pretty easily. The bad news is OEM replacement
bolts seem to be hard to find.
