Re: sway bar link and aluminum crank plugs

Gentle Alfisti,
The driver's-side sway bar link will not stay put on my spider. It hasn't
come off yet, but the link moves disarmingly off the bushes that support it.
What keeps this link in place normally? Is this condition symptomatic of a
misalignment?

In many written descriptions of four cylinder engine rebuilds, the
replacement of the aluminum plugs, that terminate the crankshaft oilways,
with threaded Allen-screws seems routine. How important is this modification?
Realistically, how frequently are these aluminum plugs given-up by the crank?

thanks to all
