Brian,

1.  ABS.   The light will stay on if the fuse is out.  Check this first.
Otherwise a likely source is a dodgy wheel sensor - check the two plugs
under the bonnet and two in the boot, and the quality of wires (ie not
kinked, broken etc).  The cardisc has a full diagnostic for the ABS.

2.  Draft Doorknob.  Is the membrane behind your door trim intact?
