Re: alfa-digest V8 #127 - Curmudgeon and Headings on Posts

I'm with Russ.

Although I would like to be able to sit and read all the ADs that come in,
often I'm pushed for time and I only have the chance of a quick skim of the
subject headings. There are times when I have skimmed over a question,
only to see a reply in a later digest that it was something with which I
could have helped the original poster.

It would make life easier if there was a bit of direction in the questions
related to specific cars. The Peugeot mailing list requests that posts are
headed as follows (and it seems to work pretty well):

"Recommended format for your email subject lines:
Model # [Model Letters] Year Subject

Examples:
505 88 V6 Mileage
405 Mi16 89 Ignition Coil source? "

Of course this won't work for general topics, but it might help to tidy up
the specific questions.

Any ideas? Let's give it a go, or flame away!

Regards to all,
John Wiltshire

PS Sorry if this post seems a bit after-the-event, but I've been having
some fun with my subscription due to a change of e-mail address.
