Pine Sap

"White Gasoline", of the Coleman stove variety,
available at most hardware stores, will remove the
pine sap (the pine sap will actually dissolve) without
any side effects on the car's paint. For your own
peace of mind check the white gas on an inconspicuous
area of the car's paint to see that there are no ill
effects.

Zymol also makes a road tar remover that works well.
