91 Spider Steering box adjustment???
Alfa Romeo had a recall on the mounting of the steering box in 1991. They
added a plate to the portion of the frame rail that the box mounts to. You
can check on the DOT website at

I unbolted the nut on the steering box (17mm), using a hex (5mm) to screw in
about 1 turn, tighten the nut, the freeplay is less and the warbling is
gone. It's amazing, the steering now is tight. The clunking sound is still
there, I'll check it out this weekend.
