re: white smoke

Been there, done that. I thought my white smoke was a fried engine at
first. Get a new/used booster from APE.
Redoing the master cylinder is not a big job, either, I would actually
replace the unit since you are going to be in there, and it gets extra
stress when its neighbors (clutch master, booster) fail.
