Illuminated key tip

It is dark here a lot.

One tip for avoiding scratches if the key you use is not illuminated: hold
the key near the tip with your fingertips. The human fingertip is
incredibly sensitive (you can easily detect an irregularity approaching
1/64 inch with your fingernail for example). The base of the key is held
against the palm of your hand, more or less as usual. The fingertips locate
the tiny slot for the key tip, insert and push gently with the palm of your
hand. A cinch on the darkest night. Now finding the ignition lock while
inside the car is a different trick, that's what courtesy lights are for.

Cheers
