Hi Fred,

I may have missed it, but did you ever do a compression test on your
car? Is it loosing coolant? Regardless of mileage, it could be a
headgasket failure if you have the popping sound. My Milano did the
same thing and the head gaskets eventually failed, I was lucky not to
have bent a rod.
