Clutch Bleeding 101-B



As a follow up to my clutch bleeding dilemma ....

Late last night as I reviewed my steps, I realized that I had the slave
cylinder oriented so that the bleed screw was at the 6:00 position. I knew
that this was incorrect but failed to notice it as I worked on the car
earlier.

Tom Sahines and Jim Neill were kind enough to confirm my thoughts.

This morning I rotated the SC so that the hose was at 6:00 and the bleed
screw was at 12:00. After a good bleeding and test run I am pleased to note
that the clutch disengages correctly. I will repeat the process in a couple
of days for good measure.Thankfully it is not the clutch, bearing, or pedal
assembly as some have suggested.

Many thanks to the numerous replies both on and off Digest. Sometimes simple
solutions are lost in process!

**** Now ... about that plastic vacuum hose connector on the brake booster.
Can it removed without dismantling the booster assembly?
Does anyone have ATE booster experience?
