re.: 78 Spider sheet metal air dam beneath front bumper



Hi Dennis,
On my '77, those three little holes take pins that hold the lower part of 
the grill. The best way to see this is to look at another spider from 
'75-'78 (it's not quite clear what the ending year was for the early style 
grill, but I think the best way to see is to compare other cars to yours). 
Basically, on the big-bumper cars, the grills are split in half - there's an 
upper part that looks kinda like this:

(my artistic skills don't get better than that, folks), and then there is 
the lower U-shaped part (it's basically the standard Alfa grill shape, split 
in half by the bumper).
Probably more than anyone wanted to know about this.....:-)
