Milano smog questions

Hi digesti,

My Milano failed smog miserably recently, with CO and HC readings that were
both about 10x acceptable levels. Obviously not just a case of a dead
converter. So far I've done a basic tuneup- plugs, cap, rotor, O2 sensor,
timing belt and timing. This has improved the readings but not sufficiently
to pass. I'm still a gross polluter.

My Milano is a 3.0 Verde with a 2.5 air flow meter. Could that be causing
any problems? Beyond that, I believe the other likely culprits are the cold
start injector or a bad fuel injector. Before I start going these routes I
want to know that the 2.5 AFM isn't the primary cause of the problem.

Oh, if you want to know why it's a 2.5 AFM- my original 3.0 AFM died and APE
only had a 2.5. I've been using it ever since without a noticeable change in
performance. Flame me if you think I don't drive hard enough!

Thanks for the help,

Jeff Jensen
