outside air getting in thru the parking-brake handle - gtwe6

hi all,

i asked this question a while back, & got no response, but since it's that time-o-year here, where it's nice to drive w/the windows down, i thought i'd try again.  i get engine-bay air drawn into the cabin thru the parking brake, also the metal handle gets way-hot; but these ewents occur only when the windows are down - i guess the wacuum created pulls air thru the opening under the car...  anyone else experience this?  any suggestions for a cure?
