Twin Spark conversions

Please excuse me for bringing this up again. I had received several replies
directly but hot mail decided to flush my in box and I lost the replies.

I have 90% decided to go ahead with a twin spark conversion for my '72
spider as I can get an entire set up for such a ridiculously cheap price
here in Japan. I am looking for any concrete information that people can
pass on.

Specifically;

1. Are any specific twin spark models or years better then others?
2. Are there hood clearance issues in a spider?
3. What about choosing between a 16 valve or 8 valve?
4. I have heard that some models of the twin spark already have a hole in
the crank is this true?
5. I already have an electric fan. Are there any other parts need that would
not come from the donour car?
6. Can this be done is a way such that I can refit the car with he SPICA
motor at some point in the future and have an original car?
7. What about performance upgrades on the twin spark? Besides chipping it is
there any thing else that can or should be done before I fit it in the car?
8. Any other obviously stupid things that I have forgotten to ask!?

Also there was interest in getting some twin spark set ups State side. Is
there still any interest?

Cheers
