164 Euro Center Console

Hi all,
on my trip to italy, I picked up a euro model center console, which
includes the complete console where the e-brake is located, and the
console where the stereo and A/C control units are.
The primary difference is that the stereo is behind a folding door (I
think similar to what they did on the LS), and the ashtray is below that.
The U.S. model has the shifter boot mounted on a piece of plastic that is
screwed into the center console, giving a horzontal surface for the boot
to mount to. This model has a horizontal surface, and the ashtray has a
matching folding door on it (matches door on stereo). THere is a picture
os this console on the digest home page (I think under '87 model),
although this center console has the same buttons as the U.S model and not
those old, old awfule buttons that were on the '87 model.
I am not sure whether to install this on my car or not. I think I will
not, because I just purchased one of those black panel stereos from Sony,
which would make having a panel covering the stereo pretty useless.
If anyopne is interested in this console, please let me know. I am in NO
hurry to sell it. I just want someone to make good use of it, it not me.

that console... The most common question i hear is "uhhhh, what model 164
is that again?"
