re: Picked up $2002 Challenge car last night
Eric, I would like to say good luck on your endeavor. I have been following
the GRM Challenges and am very excited that someone is going to take an Alfa.
I live in Jacksonville, Florida, about 3.5 hours from where GRM holds the
Challenge competition. Maybe I will go next year to cheer you and your team
on. If you need a stop over point on your way down, don't hesitate to ask. I
look forward to your updates.

I'll try to keep you all informed of our progress, but the BIG step one is
finished for our GRM $2002 Challenge car- we picked it up last night!!!
Its a '78 Spider that was previously used as a project car at a local
community college body class. Now, we are going to try to make it a "race"
car by January.
It WILL have: Electronic Fuel injection, W&D suspension, Konis, 15x7 Mustang
wheels with Hoosiers for autocross and Kuhmo's for the drag race, structural
foam for stiffness, and some nice design on it that my wife will do.
We WANT it to have: Turbo, panhard rod system, and things that we haven't even
thought of.
The team is currently 7 AROC Detroit members, and some of us will be taking
restoration classes at our local community college to work on some of the
parts.
This should be FUN!
