GTV6 wiper relay redux

Hi again,
I wrote earlier about my wiper being stuck in always on/on-and-fast with no 
intermittent or off and got a response back about the relay being near the 
signal.
I have the basic wiring diagram in the owner's manual and still can't locate 
any wiper relay.  Okay, call me dumb, but I am still a wiring-phobe.  
Yanking relays one by one did nothing for me and taking apart the steering 
wheel section did not reveal loose wires, although it does look like the 
loom that plugs into something on the side of the column, which I cannot 
free and which looks like a prime candidate for rain-drippage.
Does anyone have advice here?  Any idea how to free that connector block for 
a check?  It doesn't seem to budge and I really don't want to have to strip 
the entire dash to find this problem.
