GTV-6 wiper motor

The wiper motor on my 83 GTV-6 seems to be acting up.  When I activate the
wiper switch the alternator light comes on very bright, the motor moves
excrutiatingly slowly, the radio gets a low frequency warble in it and the
lighted display starts going bright/dim..just as long as the wiper is
activated. Turn it off and all goes back to normal.  So, that is the
problem. This does not happen when I turn on any other device, like the
headlights, etc..  Any advice on where to start?  I would check for the
usual bad grounds as soon as it stops raining here in South Texas.  Can the
motor be opened, cleaned and lubed?  Any advice is appreciated...
