RE: Generic O2 Sensors, and Recommended Connection Methods

Ian,

thanks for the enlightenment.  I was not aware of this reason.  It seems
like a strange way to allow air in to me, but it might help avoid having the
inlet clogged by oil leaking from the motor, which I understand can affect
sensor operation.  I suppose if one were careful to keep the solder
significantly away from the insulated section of the wire it might still
work, but it's probably not worth it.
