In AD7-1151 Gary Krumian writes "(some people swear 2000s never came with
Solex, but they did)". They sure did. What they never came with, according to
my parts book (Berlinas, anyhow) was Webers. Solex 40DDH or Dellorto DHLA40
(That's Dell-no-apostrophe-orto, sonny-)
In AD7-1150 Eric Storhok writes "Fan- I *think* that the 1750 fan was not as
big as the 2000 fan, which will account for high speed rev-ability". Not in
my parts book; 105.48.07.215.00 was the fan on the 1750 GT Veloce and Spider
and on the 2000 Berlina, at least on the Europe/world versions; the USA 1750
GT Veloce and Spider used a 105.00.07.215.01. The illustrations look as
though the US 1750 fan had wider blades, and the 00 part of the number
suggests it was an earlier across-the-board 105 fan, implicitly dating back
to the TI. The 105.48 part number says that the Euro 1750 fan was first used
on the 1750 Berlina, but it was certainly also used on the 2000 Berlina and I
assume it would have been used on the 2000 coupe and Spider, and would have
played no part in the differing characters of the engines.
Cordially,
