     I've been told (although never confirmed) that the spider dash "core"  
     is "basically" the same from '71 forward.

     The only minor difference is that dashes after '81 have slightly 
     bigger holes cut for the "fresh air" vents on either side and would 
     require someone to fashion a retaining ring to fit the older style 
     vents.
