Speedo

I have a question. I have three speedometers for my 1750 Euro 
Veloce from 1967. 

I broke the original reset cable for the milomeeter and replaced 
the entire meeter with another one. (1 mile = 1,6 km)

The original Jaeger showed before I had it repaired 70 kmh (44 
mph) at 2.000 revs = 35 kmh at 1.000 revs. (22 mph) I have a 10/41 
differential (original).

The "new" Jaeger speedo indicates 80 kmh (50 mph) at 2.000 revs = 
40 (25 mph) at 1.000 revs.

This made me dizzy so I had a third one, Veglia, from a 1750 
GTVeloce -71 and this one showed 65 kmh (40,6) at 2.000 revs = 33 
kmh (20,3 mph)1.000 revs.

To confuse me even more, the original Jaeger now indicates 82 kph 
(51 mph) at 2.000 revs after the overhaul.

From the "Ricambi Originali . . . etc" the speedos are the same no 
matter what Alfa. They only have different pinions ( I'm not sure 
what you call it in the US) depending on the ratio 10/41, 9/41 
etc. The cables are also the same.

In the sales broushure from 1969 Alfa states that 2.000 revs = 70 
kmh (44 mph) which makes 35 kmh per 1.000 revs. Please excuse me 
for talking kmh instead of miles, hope you do not mind. 

When you dismantle the Jaeger speedo, there is a screw, possibly 
to adjust it. To increase, do you turn it clock-wise or anti?  Any 
ideas? Simon Favre, are you there?
