Subject: Craftsman Tools
I have put Craftsman tools to use on my Alfas exclusively since I have owned
Alfas - 15 years. I have had NO PROBLEMS WHATSOEVER even in the most difficult
circumstances. Anyone who has replaced the original rotors on an Alfetta or
GTV6 will know what I am talking about with this one! Godzilla and King Kong
together snug up those 15mm cap screws using 10 miles of cheater bar! I
changed the original rear rotors on my '84 GTV6 several years ago and used a
Husky (arghh!) 15mm socket on the first screw, with a 1/2 drive breaker bar
and 3/8 adapter - broke the socket in two and rounded the hex head! Then I
used my 15mm Craftsman socket, the same breaker bar and adapter and 220lbs. of
my fat ass. Broke the next 23 15mm hex head cap screws loose without any
problems whatsoever!!!!!!!!!!! I'll take Craftsman any time. Senior ( advanced
in years ) technicians in ANY auto repair facility have tool boxes full of
Craftsman tools - they won't pay the outrageous prices for Snap-On, MAC or
Matco tools especially when the Craftsman tools perform just as well in any
circumstances encountered in the average shitbox repair shop. Check it out -
you'll find I'm right.
Roger
