I have the same problem on my 1990 RHD non-sunroof model. In fact, it has
got to
the stage where the plastic has cracked up and the whole assembly has
dropped off. I also notice a softening of the plastic mouldings which
contain the switches for the power front seats resulting in a sticky
feeling.
