Re: alfa-digest V6 #17

NO, never aluminum nor copper fuel tubing, never. Both suffer from work
hardening due to vibration, and Alum, in addition is easily corroded by
alcohols used in todays "clean air" fuels. While copper may be good for
your arthritis, its NG for use in automotive fuel or brake lines, and
prohibitied by all race sanctioning bodies. His local NAPA jobber can
supply him with some good old steel fuel tubing such as "Bundy" or the
like, and it will be complete with some kind of anti-corrosion
passivated
treatment. While some new cars use nylon semi-rigid lines, these are
only
for o.e. applications since the DIYer has no means to attach the
connections. Stick with the steel, your insurance company will be
happier,
and have no reason to void any claim for fire damage.
They don't like backyard modifications at all.
