SCCA Solo II CSP Alfa
In v06.n014 Tim asks about running a spider in SP. Although I'm no expert
on the spider, I thought I'd pass along some comments from two years
running the milanocrosser in CSP.
It's very easy to wind up classified in CSP in an Alfa. In the case of the
milano verde / 75 3.0 it was the 7-inch wheels and the ricambi coils, bars,
and swaybars which did it. The specific method used to arrive at negative
camber can also bump an Alfa out of the stock classifications.
About modifications which are not allowed in SP ... I'd get a rulebook and
go through it in detail.

The local club allows folks to bring the car they have and run as novices
for a year or two ... all the novice drivers run in one class, regardless
... not a bad way to get started.
