Alfa back to US and Laforza

Laforza's are built on Ford Explorer mechanicals, already certified for
sale in the US EPA-wise. Not sure how they get around the DOT crash
testing part - they may be exempt because they are trucks which for the
time being have different rules.

Speaking of Alfa in the US. The NADA convention has been over for a few
weeks. Where's the big announcement on Alfa returning to the US? You
can't expect me to believe that a bunch of car dealers are keeping it a
secret...

Cheers,
John

Subject: Alfa back to US and Laforza

Hi gang!

Long time no post........

So this talk about Laforza... If they can sell 100 cars a year and still
have a profit (and go through EPA and DOT) why can't Alfa afford it?

There must be something more to it....
Otherwise someone might turn their enquiring and Investing (if you have
the dole for it..) minds to the individuals behind Laforza in the US and
ask them how they are doing it!

Just an enquiring mind, not even living in the US of A.....
