tie rod
Ok...I give up
After 25 years of playing around with Alfas I'm stumped, how on earth do I
remove the inner tie rod end on my Milano. If I apply enough torque to break
the
retaining sleeve free I+ACI-ll surely destroy the steering rack, when I attempt
to hold the rack steady with a wrench it slips, also I'm afraid of messing
up the teeth.
Is there a retaining key? All help is appreciated.
Also going back to the prop shaft balancing thread, I used to take them to a
good marine shop. They are, or know a shop that is experienced with
balancing racing boat prop shafts, many of which are split. Most of the
shops dont care what it came out of and have a set price for the service. I
had some Alfetta shafts done for under +ACQ-30
Thanks
Guido
